In memory of my brother John Kenneth who was a spitfire pilot during the second world war. He was being trained but not in active service. He died on the 26th July aged 90. He much enjoyed a holiday at one of your rest homes on the south coast. He became a commercial pilot for the rest of his working life and lived for flying.
This candle was first lit on the 24th of October 2014 and will burn for 90 years 5 months and 28 days.
